Message From the President
November, 2007

The end of 2007 and my first year as your president are fast approaching. It has been a whirlwind year. With your support PCR/WOCN has successfully sponsored 2 conferences, had the largest turnout at National (40 first-time attendees), implemented the Strategic Plan, approved a Peer Group Support Fund, and continues to support the Gene Galindo Fund. Watch for some exciting things in 2008. With your continued help we will move into 2008. Again, I'm asking for volunteers to help with PCR activities - give me a call 916-838-5928 or email joycemoss_@hotmail.com. or any BOD member. The PCR web site looks great - Thanks Julie! |

Not to late to apply for PCR/NIWI scholarship or WOCN/NIWI scholarship. Thus far PCR has not received any applications. Nurses play a vital role in our legislative process - you can make a difference - contact Allen Hammonds (VP) CDCRN1996@yahoo.com. |

Don't forget the 40th anniversary celebration of WOCN in Florida. Do you have old brochures or pictures from past conferences that you want to share then contact Pete Pomilio ppomilio@ahint.com with these mementos. |
Congratulations to Marie Ward the recipient of the 2007 President's Award. Marie brought a new meaning to PCR conferencing - remember Carmel! Napa Valley! Foster City! She worked diligently to obtain excellent speakers with interesting and provocative topics in some exciting places. Marie set new standards for event planning for PCR. Marie, we applaud you - your volunteerism as Education Coordinator exceeded our expectations. |
I look forward to 2008, Joyce Moss, PCR President |
