News Update: January 13, 2003

Dear Colleague,

The New Year brings many exciting events and challenges for PCR. In an effort to enhance communication with the membership, the Board of Directors would like to share the following information with you and your Support Group.

  • Liaison relationships between a Board member and each support group have been created to encourage better communication from the general membership to the Board and vise versa. Information in this packet will be given to you by your liaison member.
  • To encourage professional growth and development for our membership, we are enclosing a sign-in sheet to be used at your Support Group meetings. We want to encourage participation in our organization. One way to accomplish this is to identify who attends Support Group meetings. You can give your completed form to your liaison Board member after each meeting.

As your new President and Vice President, we are committed to open communication with you and your Support Group. Feel free to contact us as the need arises. A listing of all PCR Board of Directors can be found on the PCR web site for additional contacts.

We will celebrate our 30th year as a region in October at our Fall conference in San Diego. Additional information will be forthcoming regarding the exciting events our Education Coordinator has for us.

Sincerely,

Judy Papen, RN, MSN, CNS, CWOCN
